WASTE MANAGEMENT

The waste left after processing fruits and vegetables can be handled in the following ways.

• Useful portion of the mangoes can be converted into pulp by providing for a small pulp-making line.
• The waste of fruits and vegetables can me made into animal feed
• The waste can be used to produce bio-gas which in turn can be used as an energy source and the left-out biomass can become a fertilizer
• Can be composted and used as bio-fertilizer or for vermicompost
